HFA seeks a strong architectural design professional based in Northwest Arkansas, to develop a fresh approach to prototype development and maintenance for a national retail roll-out program. The successful applicant will be familiar with and knowledgeable of the retail design and construction process. This person will work closely with the client and other business partners and stakeholders, developing and maintaining prototype designs and guideline information for various client driven design initiatives.

Demonstrated experience in architectural design from conceptual to completion of documents and details in Revit is required. Strong written and verbal communication and people skills are required. Previous project/program management skills a plus. We seek a self-starter with a mindset of collaboration and innovation.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Use 2D and 3D software to develop and maintain prototype designs and guidelines to align with client initiatives.
• Utilize education and experience to independently tackle challenges as they arise.
• Evaluate client requirements as well as code requirements to develop design recommendations.
• Coordinate and work collaboratively with various other prototype development firms, disciplines, and client partners.
• Attend various client driven meetings, providing status of prototype development and/or prototype updates as required to applicable stakeholders.
• Work efficiently and effectively to meet client deadlines and provide on-time deliverables.
• Adhere to ethical standards and codes of professional conduct.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Produce accurate construction documents and guidelines, detailing prototype information per client vision and standards.
• Research product/materials data to ensure alignment with client requirements and standards.
• Research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints.
• Develop design options and alternates.
• Work collaboratively with various prototype development firms and disciplines to ensure coordination across all disciplines.
• Communicate and present design options and information to all impacted stakeholders.
• Assist with Quality Control efforts within production teams, as needed, to ensure alignment with prototype and store specific design direction and delivery of high-quality construction documents.
• Potential for team leadership requirements, dependent on Prototype Development team growth.
