SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing various hatchery quality assurance tasks while maintaining a safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Candeling and residue break out to determine hatch opportunities.
- Weighing and tracking eggs to determine moisture loss.
- Chick quality assessments w/ vaccine takes
- Completing processing quality assessment (holding temps, washer temps and pH, injury assessment)
- Record vital information (chiller temps & pressure, processing run times)
- Prepull chick assessment
- Periodic pretransfer evaluation
- Audit vaccine and AW docs
- Complete egg pack evaluation
- Special projects as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required
- High school diploma
- Preferred
- Data entry experience
- Hatchery or QA Experience
