SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing various hatchery quality assurance tasks while maintaining a safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Candeling and residue break out to determine hatch opportunities.
  • Weighing and tracking eggs to determine moisture loss.
  • Chick quality assessments w/ vaccine takes
  • Completing processing quality assessment (holding temps, washer temps and pH, injury assessment)
  • Record vital information (chiller temps & pressure, processing run times)
  • Prepull chick assessment
  • Periodic pretransfer evaluation
  • Audit vaccine and AW docs
  • Complete egg pack evaluation
  • Special projects as assigned


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Required
    • High school diploma
  • Preferred
    • Data entry experience
    • Hatchery or QA Experience
