Schedule: Full Time (40hrs/week)

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates effectively. Establishes and maintains two way communication with peers, staff, leaders, and administration.

  • Adapts to change in a positive, professional manner.

  • Follows through on problems using the appropriate chain of command.

  • Cooperates well with peers and supports group decisions.

  • Communicates appropriate information to lead staff member, supervisor, manager or director in a timely manner.

  • Completes required education in a timely manner.

  • Consistently uses skilled communication which demonstrates congruence between words and actions and holds others accountable for doing the same.

  • Assists employees who are injured or become ill at work; monitors health status.

  • Performs pre-employment health screening.

  • Provides immunizations for employees and others per established procedure.

  • Acts as a resource person on health matters, reviewing such items as physicians' reports on employee health, workers' compensation insurance claims, medical restriction on employee work.

  • Provides fit testing for TB respiratory protection program.

  • Ensures staff compliance with all Employee Health related issues and activities.

  • Tracks TB status via computer system.

  • Prepares reports and makes recommendations.

  • Administers OSHA program. Educates staff regarding OSHA safety issues. Maintains OSHA logs. Interacts with government entities to maintain OSHA compliance.

  • Maintains Regulatory Compliance (OSHA, JCAHO, CDC Guidelines)

  • Participates in Committees as required (Employee Health/Safety Committee, Environment of Care)

  • Maintains a good knowledge base of Department Managers with in the organization.

  • Provides organizational leadership.

  • Demonstrates population appropriate skill sets for all relevant patient populations.

Requirements:

  • Minimal Associates from accredited nursing program
  • RN in the State of Arkansas
  • 1 year minimum in nursing as a RN
