As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our clients' IT infrastructure. You'll work closely with our technical team to ensure high availability, security, and performance of systems across multiple client environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues before they impact clients
- Implement and manage backup solutions, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity plans
- Configure and manage network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, and routers
- Provide technical expertise for cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Automate routine tasks and implement system improvements
- Respond to escalated support tickets and resolve complex technical issues
- Document technical processes, configurations, and solutions
- Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain security best practices
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in systems administration or similar IT role
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Understanding of backup solutions and disaster recovery principles
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an MSP environment
- Knowledge of RMM and PSA tools
- Relevant certifications (MCSA, RHCE, CompTIA, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization
