Position Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, support, security, and reliability of the organization’s information technology environment across all clinic and administrative locations. This role ensures that clinical and business systems remain secure, available, and effective in supporting patient care and operational efficiency. This role supervises IT support staff, manages infrastructure and endpoint environments, oversees vendors, and works closely with clinical and operational leaders to ensure technology meets organizational needs

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee daily IT operations across all clinic and administrative sites.
  • Supervise IT support staff, including hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Manage endpoint devices including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals devices and clinical equipment integrations.
  • Maintain and monitor cybersecurity tools including firewalls, endpoint protection, email security, and vulnerability management.
  • Assist with security audits, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of server environments and cloud services.
  • Oversee and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, access points, WAN, and site-to-site connectivity across all locations.
  • Manage and support the organization’s phone systems.
  • Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are tested and maintained.
  • Support EHR systems, practice management systems, and third-party healthcare applications.
  • Manage relationships with telecommunications, software and hardware vendors.
  • Oversee the purchase, deployment, and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets.
  • Lead technical implementations, e.g. site builds, hardware refreshes, and software deployments.
  • Adhere to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.

Role Specific Essential Skills/Competencies

  • Strong individual contributor supervisory skills. Creates accountability for performance and service standards.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, VoIP systems, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity controls, and system administration
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex cross-site connectivity and performance issues.
  • Understands the intersection of IT systems and clinical operations.
  • Demonstrates proactive risk management mindset.
  • Can communicate technical information clearly to non-technical leaders and staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field -OR-
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the IT field, demonstrating a proven track record of managing complex systems and resolving high-level technical challenges.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role, with experience managing technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure
  • Experience managing VoIP/Unified Communications systems.
  • Experience supporting cloud environments.
  • Experience managing cybersecurity tools and incident response.
  • Experience supporting EHR platforms (eClinicalWorks preferred)
