Job Summary

Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Gentry Medical Clinic in Gentry, AR. CMA or RMA certification is required. Spanish language ability preferred. Experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred. The schedule for this position is Monday Through Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Friday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
  • Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
  • Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
  • Administers medications via injection
  • Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
  • Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
  • Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
  • 1+ year of medication administration experience required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in a clinic setting preferred.
