Job Summary

Community Clinic is seeking a bilingual front desk Patient Coordinator for a busy Springdale Family Practice/Women's Health Clinic. The Patient Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients within the Clinic, providing a cordial greeting and ensuring the patient’s needs are met in an effective, positive way. Must have strong computer skills, excellent communication, organizational ability, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This position is full-time, in-person, paid hourly, and eligible for full benefits. The schedule for this position will be Monday–Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service during all aspects of a patient visit to Community Clinic.
  • Ensures patient information is entered into the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and updated regularly for all patients.
  • Ensures patient payments are collected, posted correctly to accounts and collections are balanced daily.
  • Schedules patient appointments
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
  • Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds required.
  • Customer service experience required
  • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Medical terminology and insurance verification experience preferred.
