Job Summary
Community Clinic is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant to for our Fayetteville Medical Clinic. The Medical Assistant assists in patient care under the direction of the clinicians and Clinic Nurses, assisting in providing excellent primary health care to our patients. The position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Bilingual speaking ability (Spanish/English) is strongly preferred. CMA or RMA certification is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients.
- Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol.
- Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills.
- Administers medications via injection.
- Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency.
- Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training.
- Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
- 1+ year of medication administration experience required.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
- 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
