Job Summary
The Metrics Coordinator will support the Quality Metrics Manager in reporting on and improving performance as part of the Quality assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) program. This position involves capturing and reporting electronics medical records (EMR) data, training and supporting clinical staff to improve QA/QI performance, and connecting with outside organizations to improve our reporting and performance. The ideal candidate will have some experience in clinical care as a Medical Assistant or similar role, have some experience/passion with data analysis or statistics, and be adept at using Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Quality Metrics Manager with executing and ensuring high performance in quality/population health initiatives and value-based care contracts.
- Leverages EMR and external value-based payer program portals for QI/QA purposes.
- Communicates with team members to improve efficiencies, best practices, quality performance, patient satisfaction, and costs of care.
- Create training materials and train staff on in order to support the metrics performance and reporting for the QA/QI program.
- Work closely with external representatives to support our efforts to perform well on quality metrics and to optimize reporting for the QA/QI Program
- Actively engages in Community Clinic quality improvement committees, such as monthly IQIC meetings and external quality metric meetings.
- Attends training webinars to remain up-to-date about program requirements, best practices, and reporting.
- Adheres to departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, and policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Promotes effective and efficient utilization of resources.
- Ability to travel for activities such as meetings, classes, and workshops. Must be able to travel by air as needed to attend training, conferences, and related activities, including overnight travel.
- Other duties related to performance metrics, QA/QI program, or clinical improvements, as assigned.ent.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in a health care setting required
- Active Medical Assistant certification (RMA or CMA) required due to charting responsibilities
- Experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro required
- Experience in data analytics, statistics, or related is a plus
