We are seeking a full-time Psychiatric APRN or PA for Community Clinic Rogers, Arkansas. The ideal candidate will provide quality psychiatric evaluation and treatment of patients. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, coordination with other behavioral health and medical providers, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care within the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) integrated model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides clinical services as defined at the Community Clinic or through sites designated for the provision of health care services by the Clinic
- Uses current evidence-based practice, research and clinical knowledge to improve patient outcomes and reduce complications.
- Formulates behavioral health treatment plan and manages acute and chronic mental health needs within Primary Care Mental Health model of care.
- Provide treatment to clients with drug/opioid addiction.
- Utilize all Clinic resources to improve patient outcomes, including behavioral health consultants, Diabetic Educators, audiologists, etc.
- Provide assessment and medication consultation for primary care and behavioral health providers at for patients with complex behavioral health, developmental, or substance disorders.
- Orders laboratory and other diagnostic tests and evaluates data obtained.
- Practices within the scope of competency as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician’s Assistant (PA) in the State of Arkansas and meets Board requirements for licensure.
- Cooperates with administrative duties such as: credentialing, clinic certifications, medical staff development, and representation within the community.
- Ensures clinical notes are entered in the patient’s electronic medical record in an accurate and timely manner, according to industry standards and Community Clinic policy.
- Assigns all patient and third party billing responsibility and resultant income to the Community Clinic.
- Participates in Quality Improvement practices in the clinic, including, but is not limited to, chart and peer reviews.
- Follows Clinic’s protocols and procedures for care and documentation.
- Meets or exceeds minimum productivity expectations.
- Adhere and is committed to the mission of Community Clinic and reinforces mission with staff and promotes mission to the community.
- Maintains continuing education at board-required levels.
- Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, NCQA PCMH HRSA and OSHA.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing or medical school or program.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas.
- Hold a current appropriate DEA number.
- Experience in an FQHC or other ambulatory care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
- Able to perform autonomously and exercise discretion and independent judgment. Also able to consult with Medical Director or other physician about major issues.
