SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Recreation Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for cash receipting procedures for daily admissions, seasonal membership sales and swim lesson enrollments. This position logs group visitations and processes pavilion reservations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned as needed)
- Greet and assists patrons in a courteous manner
- Process cash and electronic payments for admission fees.
- Process seasonal memberships and swim lesson enrollments.
- Log large group visitations for daily admission collection and month end invoicing.
- Process pavilion reservation requests and place reserved signs at pavilions during times of reservation.
- Assist with front office opening and closing duties including verification of cash drawer, generating end of day cash reporting reports and verifying daily deposits.
- Ensure front office is clean and organized.
- Notify Head Cashier of office supply needs.
- Issue readmission vouchers according to City policy.
- Forward patron concerns to the Recreation Coordinator in a timely manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education equivalent (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to rate, ration and percent, draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
