Summary:

The form setter builds wood and/or metal forms for the construction of concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters and other concrete structures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Build and lay out forms as required according to specifications with the ability to make calculations depending on grades

Fill form with fill material and compact with tamper or compactor to bring to required grade

Clean work site of any tools, debris and equipment

Qualification Requirements:

Basic carpentry skills

Ability to read construction plans an asset

Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies

Work overtime as required

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or GED required.

Two to Three years of direct experience with large scale form setting and finishing required.

Direct bridge construction experience preferred.

· Required to walk, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch

This position requires working a majority of time exposed to the outdoor elements.
