This role is responsible for maximizing marketing efficiency, campaign relevancy, and the overall customer and prospect lifecycle journey. The Principal Segmentation Strategist translates market segmentation frameworks into practical, actionable, high-yield audience strategies that drive customer acquisition, deepen relationships and lifetime value across all lines of business, including Retail, Commercial, Wealth Management, and Mortgage.
Responsibilities

● Serve as the organization's resident expert and subject matter expert on how market segmentation can be leveraged to enhance enterprise, line-of-business, and market growth strategies.

● Lead cross-functional alignment to establish a common enterprise customer taxonomy and segmentation language across Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, Digital, and line-of-business teams.
● Partner closely with SFMC, CRM, and campaign execution teams to ensure segmentation strategies are operationalized effectively across omnichannel marketing, lead management, and lifecycle programs.
● Establish measurement frameworks and success metrics alongside marketing analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of segmentation strategies, including campaign performance, customer growth, and lifetime value improvements.
● Stay current on emerging industry segmentation methodologies and personalization strategies, continuously evolving the bank's approach to improve business relevance, usability, and growth impact.
● Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures and controls, and reporting any known violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

● Preferred: Experience navigating matrixed organizational structures and aligning cross-functional teams (Marketing, Analytics, Product, and IT) behind a unified framework.
● Preferred: Familiarity with how data segmentation frameworks integrate with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or similar enterprise marketing automation platforms to drive campaign execution.
