Position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm Central Time with the ability to work additional hours as project needs demand.
Incumbent should reside within the Arvest 4 State Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK).
Experience Researcher
Job Summary
An Experience Researcher at Arvest uncovers valuable insights about our customers and associates, their preferences, behaviors, and motivations, empowering Arvest to make human-centric decisions. They partner with Experience (EXP) Insights, Design, Product, HR/People & Business leads to help shape our strategy and provide impactful recommendations that drive our business forward and optimize internal workflows. The Experience Researcher contributes to research intake, methodologies, execution, and analysis on programmatic and ad hoc projects, working under the direction of a senior-level researcher or designer on moderate to highly complex engagements. Our researchers serve in a cross-functional capacity within the EXP team to support a more unified view of Customer (Cx) and Associate (Ax) experiences.
Responsibilities
● Partner with business, product, HR/people, and design stakeholders to define research objectives, scope projects, and recommend mixed-methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, and secondary) that align with strategic goals and ensure research validity.
● Coordinate, synthesize, and ensure peer review of background research, including literature reviews, exploratory data analysis, subject expert interviews, and secondary research as assigned.
● Design, build, and facilitate a variety of primary research studies, including surveys, user interviews, usability testing, focus groups, and field observations, to deeply understand user (customer and associate) needs, workflows, preferences, and behaviors.
● Conduct statistical analysis of research results, synthesize findings, and develop actionable, data-driven recommendations for the business, including creating research codebooks to enable future replication.
● Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of research projects (engagements), including sourcing, fielding, synthesis, and readouts, while coordinating with various 3rd party vendors and research partners as needed.
● Effectively communicate complex findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
● Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Arvest's ecosystem (associates and customers), maintain centralized research insights, and implement team standards to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to research guidelines.
● Implement team ways of working and ensure adherence to Arvest research guidelines. Manage centralized research insights by maintaining the internal artifacts index & insights page on the company intranet.
● Serve in a cross-functional capacity within the Experience (EXP) team, demonstrating an eagerness to learn the foundations of design, People/HR and business operations disciplines and contributing to the holistic maturity of the Experience team.
● Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training and adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious account or user activity.
● Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
Responsibilities:
Experience
● Required: 2 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research protocols, methods, creation, and execution.
● Demonstrated experience in selection & application of mixed methods research, service design, workforce analytics, and psychometrics (validity/reliability).
● Demonstrated ability to perform data cleaning, analysis, and management of large data sets.
● Foundational project management skills (scoping, scheduling, resource allocation). Proven ability to write effective and unbiased research questions.
● Strong professional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to convey complex data, insights, and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
● Ability to interpret and work with descriptive statistics and basic inferential statistics (t-tests, ANOVA, etc.).
● Prefer project management experience.
● Prefer experience in statistical analysis software (R, SPSS, or similar) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
● Relevant work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
● Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
Credentials
Preferred: Certifications in Human-Centered Design, Product Design/Management, or Experience Insights from credible organizations (e.g., IxDF, NN/g, PRC, IDEO).
Preferred: Software Certifications: Expertise in statistical analysis software (R, SPSS, SAS, or similar) and advanced data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).

Pay Range: $89250 - $111560 per year
