The Finance and Business Analyst 2, with a moderate level of guidance, will support a variety of the bank’s financial analysis activities which may include budgeting, forecasting, capital investment analysis, financial statement analysis, research, and preparation of presentation materials.

Position may be located at 921 W Monroe Ave, Lowell, AR 72745.

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.

SUMMARY: The Finance and Business Analyst 2 will be responsible for a variety of financial and business activities including financial and data analyses, financial model development and maintenance, budgeting and developing business intelligence (BI) solutions that align with strategic initiatives of the Bank. The incumbent must exhibit insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, and be able to clearly communicate findings, requirements, etc. with management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist with a variety of financial and business activities including, but not limited to, financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, strategic decision support, business intelligence, performance measurement, incentive calculations, modeling and activity costing.
  2. Develop and maintain various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review.
  3. Support assigned requests for new or enhanced data requests, reporting or analyses (gather requirements, provide documentation, assist with designing/developing solution, training).
  4. Work with Business Intelligence (BI) Analysts to develop BI solutions – Reports, Dashboards, Scorecards that align with defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Key Risk Indicators (KRI).
  5. Exhibit insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical solutions and proposals to business partners and management to drive business results.
  6. Lead testing and validation initiatives for data, reporting, tools and applications as required.
  7. Analyze financial reports, models, analytic tools, charts, tables and other exhibits, and prepare a management summary/overview.
  8. Investigate and report to management any inconsistencies or improprieties found in financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, forecasting, measurements, trend date, etc.
  9. Maintain reporting inventory and applicable supporting business requirements.
  10. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or Statistics or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3 years of experience with financial analysis and modeling, benchmark, productivity, performance measurements or Business Intelligence (BI) analytic practices or equivalent required.
  • Understanding of general accounting and finance concepts and terminology required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
