Position is based at 913 West Monroe in Lowell, Arkansas. Incumbent must be able to commute to this location three days a week.
Position will be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm as needed.

Job Title: Division Data Analyst
A Division Data Analyst at Arvest drives data-driven decisions and enhances business outcomes through the entire analytics lifecycle. They strategically acquire, validate, and synthesize complex data into robust datasets, employing advanced analytical, statistical, and data mining techniques to uncover actionable insights. They proficiently and proactively approach data quality and future needs. They design, automate, and communicate impactful dashboards and reports to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)
● Strategically gather and integrate diverse data sources, rigorously assessing data validity and usability to ensure high-quality inputs, and synthesize complex data into robust analytics datasets, directly supporting and enabling data-driven decisions for key business initiatives.
● Employ advanced data discovery, diagnostic, and descriptive analytics, leveraging data mining techniques to uncover hidden patterns and actionable insights. Rigorously validate data results for accuracy and translate complex findings into clear, concise observations that inform strategic recommendations.
● Apply SQL skills to efficiently query, transform, and optimize large datasets, develop complex views, and perform data mining. Continuously refine data management methodologies, proactively identifying and implementing solutions to prevent data quality issues and anticipating future data requirements to support long-term business goals. Apply a range of mathematical, statistical (e.g., hypothesis testing, A/B testing), and simulation techniques to address critical business questions, driving data-informed solutions within designated focus areas.
● Develop, automate, and maintain high-impact reports and interactive dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Proactively identify significant trends, patterns, and anomalies within datasets, and strategically determine additional data requirements to deepen analytical insights and drive actionable recommendations.
● Effectively communicate complex data findings and observations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, translating technical insights into clear, business-relevant narratives directly contributing to developing actionable recommendations and strategic initiatives.
● Design and implement impactful data visualizations, interactive dashboards, and comprehensive reports using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to summarize complex datasets and illuminate key trends and patterns effectively. Proactively update and maintain these analytical assets, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for ongoing decision support.
● Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
Responsibilities:
Toolbox for Success:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics or related field of study, including internship and externship experience or equivalent relevant work or military experience.
● 3 years of combined experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
● Proven experience in data gathering, cleansing, transformation, and validation from various sources.
● Proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, performance optimization, and data mining.
● Strong proficiency in at least one major programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python with libraries like Pandas, NumPy; or R).
● Proven experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense) to create interactive dashboards and reports.
● Solid understanding of statistical analysis concepts (e.g., descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
● Demonstrated ability to analyze large, complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies, and derive actionable insights.
● Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, concise, and compelling business-oriented narratives for non-technical audiences.
● Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
● Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
