Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with ability to work additional hours as needed.

Location: 5100 W. JB Hunt Dr. Ste. 920, Rogers, AR.

Summary:

SUMMARY: Under the limited direction of the assigned manager, the Commercial Agent will receive requests for title insurance on commercial properties with the average value of $500,000 and above. The incumbent will analyze documentation to determine the type of coverage /endorsement that can be afforded based on the type of transaction. The Commercial Agent will work with attorneys and the underwriter to ensure that any extra hazardous conditions the company is asked to insure are available. The Commercial Agent will also close the loan, prepare the commercial settlement statements, and disburse the proceeds in a timely manner so that the company does not incur a financial loss.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Analyze documents to determine if and/or how they affect the title to a particular parcel of real property for complex commercial real estate files.
  2. Analyze title endorsements and draft coverages requested by customers and/or attorneys. Determine type of coverage/endorsement that can be afforded based on transaction type.
  3. Work directly with title insurance underwriter in determining coverages available and extra hazardous conditions that the company is asked to insure.
  4. Read and draw legal descriptions to determine if it is a valid and insurable legal.
  5. Examine documents to determine how they affect title so that proper requirements and exceptions can be made within a title commitment and/or policy.
  6. Research title to each property and disclose appropriate requirements to be met in order for the company to issue a title policy covering the real property and to set forth exceptions to the coverage of the title policy to be issued.
  7. Issue commercial title insurance policies.
  8. Prepare complex Commercial Settlement Statements for closings.
  9. Disburse commercial proceeds in a timely and efficient manner.
  10. Serve as a resource to realtors, buyers/sellers, lenders, builders, and other customers regarding commercial closing procedures.
  11. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent related experience required.
  • 3 -4 years previous experience in a combination of Title and Closing  required.
  • Appropriate state licensure  (i.e. Title Signing Agents license/Producers License) required or ability to obtain within 180 days.
  • Proficient in the drawing of legal descriptions and metes and bounds descriptions preferred.
  • Previous Commercial Closing/Title experience preferred.
