Job Title: Solution Design Strategist

The Solution Design Strategist at Arvest collaborates on initiatives aimed at developing business design solutions and operational technology in partnership with specific departments or divisions. They leverage banking operational knowledge of the teams being supported, as well as existing systems, relevant operational workflows, and applicable IT standards to devise effective and efficient operational strategies that integrate technologies or in-house developed processes with responsibility for the overall integrity of a solution.

The Solution Design Strategist are responsible for the overall solution integrity, with a focus on optimizing, reusing, and ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining flexibility and extensibility; they must conform to regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as information security protocols where applicable; they consistently maintain a human-centered approach that integrates understanding, design, and business strategy; and they utilize and mentor higher level Solution Analysts whose role includes providing requirements and analysis of projects and initiatives.

What You’ll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)

• Perform research to evaluate complex problems and determine the best course of resolution.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and support delivery and implementation of outcomes.

• Monitor and analyze quality control functions and provide recommendations to managers for improvements.

• Serve as a guide on the effective use of solutions in order to achieve business outcomes in alignment with business requirements and the overall enterprise-wide bank architecture.

• Design or reimagine operational workflows as impacted by either technology or business environment changes. Assist in selecting software necessary to implement changes.

• Analyze and resolve process issues including redirecting original plans and making urgent corrections of system problems that impact the end customer.

• Partner with technology, and operations’ Senior Leadership and cross functional peers to ensure the successful delivery of products and services as they relate to IAS operational processes.

• Contribute to the effective proactive and reactive management of risks and issues associated with Business Design solutions.

• Serve as a contact point and change agent for the Information Technology Team for high-level projects and bank group goals, such as bank acquisitions and major software rollouts.

• Mentor higher level Solution Analysts.

• Serve as the IAS representative for applicable peer groups and assigned committees.

• Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Responsibilities:

Toolbox for Success:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics or related field or relevant work or military experience

• 6 years’ experience within financial services, fintech, non-traditional banking, business process management or operational technology (workflow tooling)

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace

• Proficiency with project management software

• Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting
  • Design Thinking certification
  • Agile Methodology certification highly
  • Six Sigma or Lean Process certification
  • Banking experience from other bank functions such as IT, Deposits, Transactions Processing, Loan Operations, or Back-Office Operations
  • Light / soft touch experience with technology including working with IT

Other Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to navigate large strategic challenges and solve complex problems including developing practical solutions in technical and functional environments
  • Ability to evolve or adapt to changing circumstances quickly
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex and fast paced environment including maintaining calm under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple and often shifting priorities
  • Ability to navigate Arvest organization and build and sustain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong business acumen to understand and anticipate business needs/requirements
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; including influencing, conflict resolution and negotiating required
  • Demonstrates a business agility and innovation mindset
