1. Directs workflow according to clinical priority.
2. Supervises employees and supports manager.
3. Trains new employees and students.
4. Performs advanced computer functions.
5. Oversees data collection.
6. Liaison to Pathology.
7. Performs laboratory procedures and calculates, transcribes and records test results.
8. Manages specimens for analysis, recognizes normal vs. abnormal results; communicates and documents critical values to the appropriate individual.
9. Performs quality control testing, proficiency testing, and manual results review.
10. Performs maintenance and/or calibration procedures on laboratory instruments and/or equipment then troubleshoots instruments and/or test system malfunctions.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
