Summary:

Reports to Facilities Operations Manager (FOM). Operates and maintains physical plant machinery to attain maximum comfort levels and a stable supply of utilities in all buildings connected to the plant, while maximizing efficiency and emergency readiness. Assists other crafts within the department as needed in their day to day duties as directed or assigned by the FOM.

Additional Information:

Required Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Recommended Education:

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma, Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience

Required Work Experience:

Related Field - 2 years of experience

Recommended Work Experience:

Required Certifications:

Boiler Operator License - Arkansas Department of Labor Boiler Operator's License Division, Must obtain within 1 year - Must obtain within 1 year

Recommended Certifications:

Industrial Maintenance Electrician (License) - Arkansas Board of Electrical Examiners, Universal Technician Certification - Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Description

1. Ensures all plant machinery is operating within design specs and takes appropriate action if not. Continuously monitors local indicators and building automation system to ensure proper operation of machinery and a stable supply of utilities.

2. Maintains assigned equipment in proper working order.

3. Maintains knowledge of machines and their operating characteristics; maintains knowledge required to make repairs.

4. Possesses intimate knowledge of emergency response procedures for all plant equipment/utilities, and demonstrates the ability to carry out procedures.

5. Performs assigned maintenance duties.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.
