The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator works in consultation with appropriate system-level program managers to plan, organize, and maintain complex and standardized safety and emergency management program elements. This position is responsible for the execution of the on-site daily operations of the various programs and serves as the liaison between the various departments or facilities to which they are assigned and the appropriate system-level program managers.Additional Information:

Description
1. Assists the appropriate system-level program managers with the implementation and oversight of key program elements of the emergency management, environmental safety, fire and life safety, and occupational safety programs.
2. Works with appropriate program managers to ensure all safety and emergency management documentation is up-to-date and meets requirements in accordance with the standards of all appropriate regulatory agencies.
3. Leads and facilitates various safety and emergency management committees and workgroups to ensure multidisciplinary involvement a needed.
4. Assist appropriate program managers in the development and maintenance of site-specific plans, procedures, policies.
5. Coordinate the inspection and maintenance of safety and emergency management equipment and resources. Examples may include, but are not limited to: fire extinguishers, chemical fume hoods, biological safety cabinets, emergency eyewash and body showers, ACNW incident command center and equipment, patient decontamination shower, etc.
6. Assist the leadership teams by providing onsite incident management guidance and support during activations of the Emergency Operations Plan. Examples may include, but are not limited to: threat surveillance, activation of the emergency notification system, mobilization of teams and resources in support of the response, plan and procedure consultation, leverage relationships with internal and external resources in support of the incident.
7. Works with appropriate program managers to implement comprehensive and standardized training and exercise programs that enhance the readiness and safety of our teams.
8. Provides data collection/analysis and business operations support as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
