1. Provides consultation on patient care, day to day hospital operations, participating in Administrator on Call responsibilities, resource allocation, equipment and facility needs and program development.
2. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains an effective and efficient patient care delivery system based on an understanding of technological/clinical advances in nursing practice and professional practice.
3. Ensures systems for evaluating quality of care and standards of practice are developed and implemented. These systems should reflect current trends and are responsive to patient needs.
4. Create an environment with a patient/family-centered focus; support staff participation in process improvement and empower staff to make decisions to improve the patient and family experience.
