Summary:

Responsible for the day to day repair, painting and general maintenance of the campus buildings. Manages workload across the campus to ensure a timely and quality response for service. Manages work activities with all levels of General maintenance staff, as well as contractors and vendors.

Description

1. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining records of preventive maintenance on all applicable building and grounds equipment. Develops and implements systems and processes to establish and maintain records.

2. Responsible for tracking daily work performance; ensuring work is being performed effectively and efficiently. Evaluates work activities to ensure safety of workers and campus community. Responsible for the CMMS utilization by personnel and ensures work is properly documented and completed in a timely manner.

3. May participate in the continued development of environmental safety programs and ensures compliance with safety committee, risk management and regulatory requirements. May maintain licensing of personnel and equipment and conducts/coordinates related inspections and testing.

4. Responsible for the day to day management of building maintenance including building shell, walls, ceilings, roofs, structure and other general building characteristics. May manage property along with facility to include parking lots and all grounds components: lawn, fountains, flowerbeds, trees, trails, etc.

5. May maintain a fully functional system by using software and technology, following blueprints or engineering specifications, interpret wiring diagrams, controls schematics, and other related technical communications. Responds to and resolves service calls, providing technical support and troubleshooting knowledge of Building Automation Systems and other Facilities related systems (Monitoring, tube system, etc.)

6. Demonstrate an understanding of emergency response procedures.

7. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

8. Make recommendations for efficient operational changes and quality improvement opportunities.

9. Maintains accurate and complete records of changes and additions to Building Automation systems.

10. Manages and schedules outside contractors for procedures and organizes their tasks.
