Alice L. Walton School of Medicine (AWSOM) is a nonprofit medical school founded in 2021, offering a four-year MD program that integrates traditional medical education with arts, humanities, and whole health principles. Located in Bentonville, Arkansas, AWSOM aims to train physicians dedicated to improving health in underserved and rural communities. The school has achieved preliminary accreditation from the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and is focused on developing a new generation of physician leaders who can address contemporary healthcare challenges through innovative practices and community partnerships.
