Description and Requirements

As a Meat & Seafood Sales Associate at Acosta, this role represents both the retailer and the client, directly impacting sales, profits, and customer satisfaction. You will ensure shoppers have confidence in their fresh meat and seafood experience while promoting product knowledge and quality standards.

What will you do?

  • Maintain current knowledge of products to ensure the highest standard of quality assurance.

  • Drive sales by becoming a product expert and sharing knowledge with customers to best represent products.

  • Create solutions for customers through suggestive selling, cross-selling, and upselling, pairing items together effectively.

  • Adhere to proper fresh food handling standards.

  • Assist with merchandising, including rotating stock, cleaning and maintaining displays, pricing, checking date codes, completing required audits, and ensuring adherence to approved plan-o-gram.

  • Identify product needs and confirm orders are placed for assigned areas.

Experience and Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Ability to work in cold conditions (refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).

  • Working internet access and active email address.

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, grasping, and standing on a daily basis.

  • Availability from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., including some weekends, occasional nights, and holiday shifts.
