Washington Regional Hospice is the only local program of its kind that is accredited by The Joint Commission and the nation’s leading accrediting agency of healthcare organizations. We are the most tenured hospice in the state and the only one in Northwest Arkansas that is affiliated with a locally governed, community-owned, not-for-profit medical system. “Washington Regional Hospice has a long tradition of assisting patients and families during this stage of life,” Hospice Medical Director Dr. Bradley says. “Our team is honored to provide support and care for our patients and their families, thus allowing them to fulfill their goals and focus on living life to its fullest.”

Position Summary
Our nurses have the pleasure of working alongside approachable and kind physicians as well as a culture of excellence in interdisciplinary teamwork.  Thorough orientation offered prior to taking call.  The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others, likes to work independently and with a team, and is ready to take a step in professional development as a nurse. This position is responsible for taking call 50% of the after hours and weekend time. Duties include providing patient care including symptom management, support of patient and family, performing nursing procedures, coordinating services and completing related paperwork. This position has exposure to communicable disease. The RN assists in the orientation of new staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Frequent local travel required.

Licenses/Certifications Required
Unencumbered RN License, Driver's License, Auto Liability Insurance, and CPR

Specific Educational and Skill Competencies Required
A good working knowledge of nursing care practices as usually demonstrated by the completion of a RN program, AR Licensure and one year of clinical nursing experience.
