Job Details:

The Team Performance Manager (TPM) will serve as the customer team financial, analytical and process expert, and works with sales/broker partners to ensure team performance goals are met within established budgetary guidelines. Key internal interfaces are Sales Directors, Team Leads, Customer Development Managers (CDMs), Team Performance Managers (TPMs), Customer Sales Analysts (CSAs), Customer Planning Specialists (CPS), Sales Operations, Trade Accounting, BU Finance, Trade Governance and Commercial Capabilities.

Responsibilities:

This role will support an assigned customer team (sales & broker partners).

  • Partner with cross functional teams and sales leaders in development of volume and spending goals to support delivering Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Analyze key drivers of customer team financial performance and provide key stakeholders scorecards to address: volume, net sales, trade spending, deductions, and planning accuracy
  • Function as team expert and trainer on Tyson trade system tools and reporting
  • Understand and leverage customer go to market strategies, interface with key customers as appropriate
  • Manage audit control points to ensure SOX compliance
  • Work with the Trade Optimization team to incorporate promotion analysis into plans; review results and develop recommendations to maximize trade return on investment
  • Grow and develop team of CSAs, CPS, and equivalent broker roles

In addition, the role will work closely with Sr. TPM Consolidated and provide support in the following areas:

  • Evaluate existing reporting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Design and implement enhanced reporting solutions that meet the needs of different teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business needs, identify requirements, design resources, and implement solutions that provide actionable insights that deliver business objectives
  • Ensure data accuracy within reporting systems

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of relevant CPG experience to include some combination of: customer sales management, sales planning, trade marketing, customer finance, and sales analytics
  • Key skills: self-starter, proactive, collaborative, and process oriented
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Communication Skills: excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required
  • Supervisory: manage multiple direct reports
  • Working knowledge of Tyson trade systems, Tyson data sources and syndicated data
  • Travel: 3-6 domestic trips per year

Any listed amounts represent the base pay range. Additional compensation may be available for this position based on various factors such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonuses. Pay is just one part of Tyson’s total compensation package.
